Aloft Tampa Downtown

"My wife and I stayed here the night before a Royal Caribbean cruise, and we really loved it. The staff is great. Michelle Hontz checked us in and was very friendly (and humorous!). Marriott Silver members get to spin a little wheel for a prize; my wife won us 7000 Marriott points, which is their biggest prize! That was a neat touch (and I loved the homemade look of the prize wheel; it gave the place a unique touch). They have a little bar/restaurant on-site, and while we didn't try it, it was pretty hopping after we returned from dinner. There are multiple places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel, and it's about fifteen minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. The other ladies working the desk during our stay--Shenaaz, Tiana and Ana--were also awesome and super helpful. One of them lent me some office supplies so we could attach our cruise luggage tags to our bags (she even printed the tags for me). Really fantastic staff. The room--a king suite--was very spacious and comfortable. The Bluetooth speaker on the bedside table was a little Marshall amp! Downtown Tampa isn't much to look at, but the view from our room was still pretty cool, and it was neat being downtown and getting a sense for the "pulse" of the city. Perhaps most importantly, the room was very affordable for a Friday night. The staff was also super friendly and accommodating"

"We traveled here from a different hotel in Tampa due to the location having bugs. We were instantly greeted with a warm welcome and were even let in our room a little early. We got to our room it was spotless with a beautiful view. When going out to the pool we were greeted by a bartender, another bar employee and offered a complementary beverage! On top of that my margaritas were amazing! We then went out and enjoyed the view. Our whole stay was absolutely amazing and you have fantastic staff!! Anytime we are greeted by them they always say hello and ask how we are! Thank you for a wonderful stay and please give it up for Joe , Carl, Regina and Gabbie."

"Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and very accommodating. From the moment we drove up, the valet parker Marco was very helpful. At the check in desk we met Ana. She was great getting us a very nice room and we were even able to check in early! Later in the day we met Shenaaz and Keith. What a great combo! They were excellent at giving restaurant recommendations. I travel for a living and it's rare to meet such an awesome staff!"
