"I stopped into The Local Goat in Tampa with my son for a couple beers and some food, and honestly we were pleasantly surprised. The food was actually really good — way better than your typical bar food — and everything came out hot and quick. Just so it’s clear, though, this place is absolutely a bar, not a quiet restaurant. It’s loud, crowded, and the crowd is definitely on the younger side. Music was blasting the whole time, TVs covering every wall, and they even have a vending machine with beer and gum in it, which is kind of hilarious but fits the vibe. Service overall was solid. Most of the staff was friendly and on top of things. Only one girl working was rude for no reason, but everyone else made up for it. Drinks were cold, food was great, and despite the noise, we had a good time. One thing I loved — it’s basically a Pittsburgh bar in the middle of Tampa. Seeing IC Light on tap down here was an unexpected bonus. If you want a quiet dinner, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for good food, loud music, and a fun bar atmosphere, The Local Goat hits the mark. I’d go back."
