"Kumba was a fun long ride. Walking up to the track makes you feel like this ride is the franchise player for this park. It stands out and looks beautiful where it is placed. Pure fun from start to finish and I don't think it's to intimidating to scare people off. The track looks fun!"
"First: it’s really cool how you can see Kumba twist all around the station. I’m sure that I’ve been on other coasted that do that, but still pretty cool, and it feels like Busch Garden’s landscapers/planners put an effort making this look good! Kumba itself distinguishes itself from Montu by being a traditional coaster, while Montu is floorless, and Kumba seems to focus more on twists, turns, and taking them fast, while its cousin focuses more on g-forces. They make for a dynamic pair! Also, I know that this is an old coaster, and im glad that I visited shortly after it reopened, but it’s definitely a classic that I enjoyed, and I hope that Busch Garden never, ever removes this coaster! Kumba is described by many as intense, but to me, it’s a nice middle-ground coaster if you want to take a break from Iron Gwazi’s intense drop and bucking-bronco hills, but still want a thrilling, relatively intense, but still more comfortable ride that you can marathon endlessly, and feel like having your feet dangling."
"Kumba is one of those classics that proves age doesn’t matter when the engineering is right. This coaster still absolutely rips. The initial drop and that diving loop hit harder than most modern rides, and the pacing never lets up. Smooth enough to re-ride, intense enough to keep you grinning the whole time. Zero downtime, efficient loading, and a great way to break up the newer attractions at Busch Gardens. Five stars - don’t skip it. This is still one of the park’s best."
