"Perry Harvey Sr. Park is such a unique spot in downtown Tampa. I really enjoyed walking through the park and learning about the history and culture displayed throughout the area. The artwork, statues, and historical markers make it more than just a regular park experience. The park was clean, peaceful, and family friendly with plenty of space to walk around and relax. I also liked that there were areas for skating, events, and outdoor activities. Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy local history, art, and scenic city parks."
"From the silent traveler I present to you a park of History. This is a park that has a lot of history and culture in here. If you want to be moved if you want to learn this is a library on the street from the street. History markers are written in the sidewalk there are movable artwork on the side of the buildings. A very open space for everyone to enjoy and learn from the past to the present. There is plenty of artwork to admire and learn from and get really good ideas. But do not forget the history that is there to respect it to learn from it to understand it. These are just a few pictures that I can present to you. But there is so much more there and I think Tampa for taking the time out and the community for putting this together so people can come by and admire and see it. And all the staff in the local area that keep it meet and clean for the community to enjoy. I cannot say enough of how much history is presented here. You will see things from the civil Rights movement. That was presented I would say the timeline is from 1950 all the way to present. But there is a lot to admire and learn from here. Please take the time out to enjoy what Tampa is offering."
"Nice urban park, right in the center of townhomes/condos. Skateboard park and walking sections are nice. I think it needs more shaded areas and parking. The construction around the area is limiting at the moment. They still have events there which is great. Veg Fest was happening when we went. Great to grab some good vegan food, yeah I said it, good food...and vegan. So check out the park, cool artwork around too. Some history to read about."
